Agrano Organic Bread Mixes
Since 1996, Agrano in Germany has been producing organic yeast and baking products for the bakery sector, the food industry and the organic specialty trade in a multi-patented production process that is unique worldwide. Organic yeast makes it possible to produce 100 percent organic bakery products in line with its motto ‘Consistently organic!’.
The world's first organic yeast was developed in collaboration with universities and institutions of higher learning: BIOREAL® organic yeast. An organically produced nutrient solution of organic grain and fresh spring water is used to breed selected strains of yeast. All microorganisms used are guaranteed to be non-GMO. It is not necessary to use synthetic growth substances or to flush them out afterwards. (In the production of conventional yeast Chemical nitrogen sources, acids, synthetic vitamins and growth substances are employed) The BIOREAL® fermentation medium even forms the basis for other products, such as sponge and sourdough starters.
Today, 60 employees work at the AGRANO company according to the principles of the HACCP and the guiding principle "Consistently organic.". AGRANO sells the organic yeast products so successfully that after the doubling of the production capacities 2014 a third production line is put into operation at the end of 2017.
