The Brød & Taylor Bread Steel is designed to help home bakers achieve stronger bottom heat, better oven spring and crisper crusts without the weight of a much thicker baking steel. Usage & care
Place the bread steel in the oven before preheating so it can heat through fully. Once the oven has reached temperature, load your dough and bake straight away.
After use, allow the steel to cool before cleaning. Wipe or wash as needed, dry thoroughly and store in a dry place. As with other carbon steel bakeware, a light coat of oil after cleaning can help maintain the finish if needed.
