Finest Selected Saffron is a pure selected saffron packed in Spain, offering the distinctive colour, aroma and flavour that make saffron such a prized ingredient in both sweet and savoury cooking.
The saffron comes from Crocus sativus and each gram contains approximately 250 hand-picked stamens. Used in small quantities, it is enough to bring a distinctive saffron character to dishes without needing much at all.
It is especially useful in rice dishes such as paella and risotto, and in breads, pastries, cakes, curries and custard where saffron’s colour and fragrance are part of the finished character. The 1g box is a practical size for occasional use at home.
