What temperature are Nordic Ware pans safe to?

Most cast aluminium bakeware is oven safe up to 204°C / 400°F. Always check the individual product page for the specific limit.

Are Nordic Ware pans dishwasher safe?

Hand wash only. Dishwasher detergents can damage non-stick surfaces and cause discolouration. Wash in warm soapy water and dry thoroughly.

How should I grease a Bundt or detailed pan for a clean release?

Brush every surface with melted butter or shortening then dust with flour or cocoa, or use a baking spray that contains flour. Avoid regular cooking spray as it can leave residue.

Which utensils can I use?

Use wooden, silicone or plastic utensils. Avoid metal tools and abrasive cleaners.

Can I use Nordic Ware on a hob, under a grill or in a microwave?

Bakeware is for conventional oven use. Do not use on direct heat sources or under a grill, and metal pans are not microwave safe.

Do I need to do anything before first use?

Yes - wash in warm soapy water and dry thoroughly. Before each bake, prepare the pan as above. For intricate designs, a soft pastry brush helps with cleaning.
