This 25kg sack of organic yellow wheat wholemeal flour from Rolle Mühle is milled from whole yellow wheat grain using the mill’s water-powered process. The flour retains the full character of the grain, bringing natural colour, flavour and nutrition.

On the bag, this flour is labelled Gelbweizen Vollkornmehl, the German term for yellow wheat wholemeal flour. The product supplied is exactly the same as shown here.

Yellow wheat wholemeal flour offers good water absorption and a rounded, gently sweet wholegrain flavour. It performs well in everyday breads, rolls and mixed-grain loaves where a softer wholemeal character is desired.
