Panibois Cocotte - FAQs

A natural round wooden baking case with a snug paper liner. Bake - cool - serve in the same Cocotte for neat portions and rustic presentation with minimal washing up.
Yes. Fill the lined Cocotte and bake on a tray for easy handling. Cool before fitting a lid for transport or display.
The Cocotte itself is suitable from -40°C to 220°C, so it works in freezers, standard ovens and microwaves. Keep away from direct flame or grill elements.
Wooden lid: bake without the lid for best colour, then fit after cooling. Cellulose lid: do not bake with the lid fitted; apply after baking for a clear, tamper-evident finish.
The double-sided siliconised paper liner releases cleanly and is grease resistant. For very sticky fillings a light spray can help but is usually unnecessary.
They are intended as single-use for food hygiene and consistent presentation. If a base remains clean it can be reused for cold display, but we recommend fresh Cocottes for baking.
Yes. The wooden case, paper liner and lids are made from renewable materials and are biodegradable. Disposal options depend on local facilities.
We stock Cocottes in 13×5cm and 11×6cm in wooden-lid versions and plan the same sizes with cellulose lids. Other sizes may be available to order.
Individual breads, brioches, puddings, cheesecakes, terrines, gratins and hot or cold desserts. They also make attractive gift boxes for edible presents.
Store flat and dry. Fill to your usual recipe level, bake on a tray, cool before lidding, then label the lid for clarity.
