Artisan Baker for Ashbourne Bakehouse


A new bakery opening in near the town centre in the popular Derbyshire town of Ashbourne. We will be making a range of breads using long fermentation techniques and organic ingredients, sourcing locally as much as possible.

 

Description:

  • This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate, enthusiastic baker to start with us from the very beginning and help shape the product range. You'll have at least 1 year experience working in a similar bakery environment, using long fermentation techniques. You will have developed your skills in scaling, mixing and hand shaping the loafs and are now looking to take on more responsibility. You'll need a focus on the quality of the product and have a passion for this type of baking

  • Ours will be a small team as we start out so you will be involved in every aspect including stock ordering, cleaning, production and training.

  • FT- 40 hrs per week

Personal Qualities

  • You'll need to be able to work collaboratively, sharing ideas and taking on board feedback. The kitchen area will have a viewing area for customers so good personal hygiene  is important as is the ability to keep a net and clean kitchen. As we start costs will be important so you'll need to work hard to keep spending down while maintains the focus on great ingredients and superb products.

 

Remuneration 

  • £18,500 to £22,500 depending on experience
