Artisan Baker Required for Sugardough


Full time professional experienced artisan baker required for Sugardough, a fine food bakery in Hove. We are a small but very busy shop where everything is made from scratch on the premises including all pastry, sourdough breads, pies, cakes, tarts etc. Everything is handmade, we use no improvers, fillers or stabilisers. 

You must have professional experience with sourdoughs and specialty breads, hand moulding, mixing and oven work. All of our breads are sourdoughs. Experience making pastry including, croissant dough, puff etc will be a distinct advantage. 

Sugardough is a young organisation with big plans. We have just moved into larger premises and this is a new role in a growing team in which you will be an integral member. 

This is a very busy professional environment. You must be reliable, have good spoken English and be passionate about good quality food. You will be working closely with the owner chef and must be presentable - there is an open kitchen. You must also be willing to learn. 

 

Expected hours
  • 2am - 10.30am Wednesday to Sunday

  • Be energetic, self motivated and dedicated to doing the best job they can
  • At all times conduct themselves in a professional manner and be presentable
  • Be on time for their shifts
  • Speak English fluently
  • Be trustworthy
  • Be eligible to work in the UK 

 

Remuneration 

  • Salary is competitive and dependent on experience and includes 28 days paid holiday.
