Artisan bread baker for Holtwhites Bakery


Holtwhites Bakery is an award-winning bakery specialising in sourdough, traditional sponge-and-dough and continental breads, as well as pastries and cakes. We make everything made from scratch on our retail premises, using the best quality ingredients.

 

Description:

The job will involve scaling, mixing, shaping and baking all types of breads e.g. sourdough, British and continental breads and sweet dough. Maintaining a clean and tidy work environment. Helping to develop new recipes and methods.

 

Contract

  • Permanent
 
Expected hours
  • Approx 45 hrs a week. Shifts start at 10pm (night work).
 
Qualifications Required   
  • Permited to work in the UK
  • Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene.
  • Experience of baking in a high speed, professional environment is strongly preferred.

Personal Qualities

  • Reliable. Hard-working. Able to work under pressure. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Fluent in English. Excellent numeracy. Passionate about baking bread. Keen to improve and learn new skills.

Remuneration 

  • £7-9/hr depending on experience
