Assistant Baker for Victoria Bakery


Victoria Bakery is a traditional craft bakery (5 generations old) making a full range of traditionally fermented and sourdough breads (mainly oven bottom), along with savouries, pastries, fermented buns and cakes. We have two retail shops in Barnet and also local market stalls.

We are looking for a passionate hard working person to assist, mainly with breads, mixing, moulding, cutting and baking in setter ovens. You will also be involved in pastry and confectionery work, such as making of croissants, Danish, bun goods etc.

This position could suit an enthusiastic novice but some hands on bakery experience is essential.

 

Description: 

  • Experienced Baker to join our busy night bake.  

 

Contract

  • Permanent
 
Expected hours
  • 5 days per week on rotating shift. Starting at 3 or 4am weekdays and Friday night (midnight)
 
Qualifications Required   
  • None essential
  • Permitted to work in the UK (a valid EU work permit or ID is required)
 

Personal Qualities

  • Passionate about doing a first rate job.
  • Reliable and hard working
  • Able to speak good English.o be capable of working on their own and also as part a small team.

 

Remuneration 

  • Dependent on Experience
