Baker for Great Northumberland Bread Co

Established 10 yrs we are an exciting and successful bakery supplying high quality long ferment and wild yeast breads to a wide and receptive audience throughout the rural Borders. We use mostly organic flours and grow some of them ourselves, milling them in an adjacent water mill in which we have an active interest. All breads are baked in a large wood fired oven fueled with timber from the beautiful estate on which we are located.

We can produce upwards of a 1000 loaves per shift and are equipped to this level with good equipment .

Age and other commitments are coming to the fore and we are looking for a special person to take the venture forward, possibly for themselves be it the right candidate.

Someone to initially work with us to understand our business and bake the breads according to the principles we have established, thereafter taking up the baton and running with it themselves with our support where necessary - if this were the case a formal agreement could be drawn up within agreed time frames once the right candidacy were confirmed.

A person able to ultimately manage all aspects of the business and delegate where necessary e.g., office function / maintenance etc.
