Baker for Real Patissiere, Brighton


We are an independant artisan bakery supplying quality French style bread and pastries to wholesale customers throughout Sussex.

 

Description: 

  • The candidate needs to have all basic bakery skills including mixing, hand-moulding and baking.
  • This candidate will be responsible for the preperation of all doughs on our late afternoon bake and must be able to work on their own initiative and to a high standard.
  • Experience of working traditional deck oven would be a bonus although not essential.
  • Start time would be 4pm to finish approx Midnight. Shift times and lengths will vary on a Friday.
  • A good grasp of english and the mathematics involved in baking are essential. Experience of working in France or with French bed would be an advantage.

  • 40-50 hours per week
 
Qualifications Required   
  • No specific qualifications required although this post requires someone with good experience of working in craft bakeries and with the processes involved in making continental style breads.
  • Permitted to work in the UK (a valid EU work permit or ID is required)
 

Personal Qualities

  • Eligible to work in the UK, the candidate must be a responsible, reliable and punctual person.
  • They must also be able to work on their own initiative but also within a team of 3 bakers.

 

Remuneration 

  • £7.40 - £9.48 per hour depending on experience
