Baker/pastry chef for Signorelli


We're an independent family owned bakery with our baking unit based in new Stratford. We have a unique little bakery in the heart of Olympic park as well as a stylish Shop/Coffee store. As well as supplying our own stores, we also wholesale to various local cafes/stores/restaurants. We pride ourselves in our products, especially our breads made in traditional artisan methods. We are growing rapidly and are looking for someone with a likeminded passion to join our team.

 

Description:

We are looking to hire an experienced and passionate artisan bread maker and pastry chef. Hours will be 30-40 per week over 5 days. This will be a night shift from approximately 5am-11am, but you will need to be flexible with days/shifts worked.

Experience is essential in the following areas:
- Be knowledgeable about artisan techniques, sourdough and fermentation methods.Traditional bread making skills.
- Desired dough temperature.
- Experience in using deck ovens
- You must be reliable, passionate, pay strong attention to detail and be able to work efficiently.
- Must also have a strong knowledge of food hygiene standards, and follow all policies regarding health and safety.

 

Contract

  • Permanent
 
Expected hours
  • 5am - 11am 6 days per week
 
Qualifications Required   
  • 3 years of Artisan baking experience
  • Permited to work in the UK

Personal Qualities

  • Reliable, creative, keen to develop his product range, curious. Good understanding of cost management.

Remuneration 

  • £20,000pa
