Experienced Full / Part Time Baker for Tilley's Bakery


Summary: We recently became the owners of a very busy and successful family run bakery in Hythe, established over 30 years ago, and are looking to take on another experienced full time / part time baker to join our friendly team. Bakery has been newly refitted, with relatively modern and clean equipment.

Job Description: The Position is for an experienced baker (1 year minimum) to assist our existing head baker. Must have a passion for producing quality bread, buns, doughnuts and cakes, including celebration cakes, although not essential. In addition to baking and making quality produce, will also be required to assist with ordering stock and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food hygiene. Uniforms and further training provided.

Contract: Permanent

Expected Hours: Full time position £20,000 base salary plus overtime with a Terms of Employment contract. 40 hours per week 5am - 1pm, paid overtime on Saturdays, 28 days holiday. Part time position will be subject to negotiations regarding hours and pay, however will be expected to work extra hours to cover head bakers annual leave.

Personal Qualities: Applicant needs to be a team player who needs to be self-motivated, punctual, and professional with good initiative.

Not essential, although baking / pastry chef qualifications preferred. Food and hygiene certification.
