Head Baker for Lardo


We are launching a new bakery, prep kitchen and retail space in Hackney, London which will support our retail/restaurant units and also provide a wholesale offer to other local businesses. We plan to produce a range of breads including a light rye sourdough, foccacia, schiacciata, ciabatta, pies and sausage rolls and a range of pastries including croissants.

 

Description: 

  • We are looking for someone to lead this operation, they will be a self starter, ambitious and creative - You will be responsible for creating a strong range of products that resonate with our brand and style of cooking.  You will be highly organised and have a good understanding of Health & Safety standards and have the adequate certifications. A great package is available for the right person with a great opportunity to be a key part of something special.

 

Contract

  • Permanent
 
Expected hours
  • 48-55 hours per week
 
Qualifications Required   
  • At least 2 years in a similar senior role, all the necessary H&S qualifications
  • Permitted to work in the UK (a valid EU work permit or ID is required)
 

Personal Qualities

  • Must be able to work independently, trustworthy, have high standards of work, a good palate and work ethic

 

Remuneration 

  • Subject to negotiation
