Arras was established in Sydney, Australia in 2007 by Adam and Lovaine Humphrey. The restaurant grew and received critical acclaim, and in 2011 Arras Too, our offshoot hole-in-the-wall bakery was added specialising in handmade sourdough.
We returned to York in 2015 and reopened Arras Restaurant. We have opened a purpose built retail bakery, Little Arras, in the centre of York and we are looking to build our existing team.
Little Arras will be the only bakery in the centre of York producing and baking breads on site. We want to bring our range of slow-fermented, hand crafted breads and pastries to the people of York.
We are looking for a Senior Bread Baker to add to our existing team and aid in the production of a range Sourdoughs and slow-fermented breads and vienoisserie. The ability to add daily specials to the bakery is also essential.
The majority of items will be produced for Little Arras with a select few Wholesale clients making up the remainder.
We are looking for a candidate that is extremely organised and a good all-rounder is essential. The majority of work will be in the bread side of the business,
Enthusiasm and attitude is hugely important and we can offer further development within the business.

Be extremely organised and able to work at a fast pace
Be able to work in a team and also autonomously
Follow appropriate Hygiene and Health and Safety procedures
Be able to follow recipes and aid in the development of new ones
