Sourdough Baker for Docker Fermentation Ltd


Summary: Docker is a sourdough bakery and craft beer brewery that is passionate about making the best product we possibly can with the best ingredients. Our Artisan breads are sold to restaurants, cafes, independent shops and through our own shop at the bakery. We currently bake 5 days a week with two members of staff working in the bakery.

Job Description: As an experienced baker you already know that the hours are anti-social - that’s a given with this role. Also sometimes there will be extra time to put in when we have a large order to complete. But we try to be as fair as possible and want you to have a life outside of work. The business is small still and there is still room to make a real difference.

Main tasks will included creating various doughs, doing starters, and baking. Additional tasks may include cleaning (beyond the standard daily cleaning), packing orders and delivering (subject to driving license).

We are also looking to improve and grow our range of pastries and sweet treats and would value input and experience that can help with this area of the business.

Contract: Permanent

Expected Hours: Full timne

Personal Qualities: An extensive knowledge and experience of Sourdough baking Reliability Passion Energy Love of bread You need to be able to show us you are permitted to work in the UK full-time.

Pastry experience would be a strong bonus.
