A bread course at Streamcombe is a great experience and you will leave with new skills and full of inspiration to take back to your own kitchen.

Our sessions are very hands-on, with small groups, so that you learn as much as possible. We have two bread courses available and pack plenty into each one, covering a wide range of bread styles.  We place an emphasis on developing your understanding of the influence of ingredients and techniques on your loaves as this is the key to successful breadmaking.  You will make a series of doughs to create a variety of breads, from sourdoughs, fruitloaves, brioche and baguettes to naans, focaccia and panetone.  Plus your lunch will be centered on tortillas or pittas of your own making. The bag of bread you leave with is overflowing.

The setting is as inspiring as the courses - an ancient stone barn on the borders of Exmoor National Park, Somerset & Devon. We also run a selection of other courses and you even have the option of a discounted rate for an overnight stay in our contemporary bed and breakfast.
