The Dusty Knuckle Bakery


Craft Food London run a wide variety of courses which teach you how to make amazing artisan foods in your own home.

We work with some of the best artisan producers in the capital, who are dedicated to their craft and want to share their skills with you.  Our classes are  small - never more than 12 and sometimes as small as 6, to ensure a friendly & relaxed atmosphere and lots of time for individual questions and help.

Our most popular class is our Artisan Bread Masterclass run at the Dusty Knuckle bakery in Dalston, but we also run classes in Smoking, Cheesemaking, Charcuterie & Preserves.

Our breadmaking classes are taught by Max Tobias, a passionate artisan baker & founder of the Dusty Knuckle.  We run a selection of half & full day courses focussed on ensuring you leave with the practical skills you need to make fantastic bread in your own kitchen, and understand how variations in flour, salt, yeast, hydration, time & temperature will affect your final product.  All courses include recipes, a home baking starter kit, refreshments, and of course all the bread that you make on the day.
