The Norwegian Bakery is a domestic Artisan Bakery and Baking School situated in a beautiful period house full of authentic character. It is located within a five minutes’ walk from the stunning sandy beaches of Southbourne, only a ten minute drive from the beach resort of Bournemouth and a stone’s throw from Dorset’s unique Jurassic Coast and the New Forest National Park.

Baking classes offered ranges from Beginner's to Advanced level including Sourdough classes. Depending on the class of your choice you'll enjoy learning how to bake wholesome Norwegian-style loaves or custard cinnamon buns, gorgeous focaccia or pitta breads, or crusty aromatic seeded sourdough breads. A delicious homemade, bread-based light meal with a glass of complimentary wine will be served at lunch time. Later in the afternoon we’ll be pausing for drinks and savouring homemade cakes or biscuits. The classes are limited to four people and run from 10am-3pm.

You’ll leave with the breads baked on the day, all recipes, a dough scraper and a deep, genuine enthusiasm for continuing baking in your own kitchen.
