City centre artisan bakery making sourdoughs and range of 'proper' bread, cakes and cookies for social enterprise shop and cafe promoting local food. Open Monday to Saturday.



Trainee or very enthusiastic baker required for all aspects of working in a bakery from mixing dough to sweeping the floor. Hands-on, small production unit very much in the public eye, job to include mixing, moulding and baking under supervision initially. Willingness to learn and work hard a must!

  • 40 hour week including some Saturdays

Qualifications Required   

  • Must be able to work in UK. 

  • Experience of working in catering environment or in other bakeries helpful.

Personal Qualities

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as team member, demonstrably enthusiastic about real bread, local food, environment and healthy eating. Some computer/IT skills useful. Good at early mornings! Physically fit, able to lift weights and stand all day. Willing to get stuck in and support other members of the team in all aspects of working bakery.
