Wychelm Bread School


Perfect for the aspiring home bread baker, Wychelm courses are run personally by Roger Lee. A relaxed atmosphere, small groups (6 maximum) and individual tuition mean that you will learn many new skills, and transfer them directly to your home environment.

Why has our reputation for outstanding teaching spread so widely since the first course in February 2012? According to our diverse range of attendees, it’s just a great inspirational day where they learn how to discard the media hype, and truly learn the principles and practice of hand made bread. Inspired by the Real Bread movement, our most popular courses include Just Bread, Just Bread Extra, Sourdough and Enriched (Sweet) Dough.

Attendees need no previous experience, although many have been baking for a while, and all equipment and refreshments are included.

Each course provides a memorable day of both indoor and outdoor baking (weather permitting). All learning takes place in a delightful, friendly environment. “I learnt far more than at a similar celebrity-run course”, and “Roger made it all seem surprisingly easy” was the kind feedback from two of our early attendees.
