The ETI ChefAlarm is a professional cooking thermometer and count up/down timer in one. It is especially useful when you want to monitor temperature over time rather than take a quick spot reading, with the display sitting outside the oven, proofer or working area while the probe stays in place.
For bakers, the ChefAlarm can be used for checking bread and enriched doughs, monitoring chocolate, yoghurt, fermentation, proving environments and longer bakes. Set a target temperature and the alarm will alert you when it is reached, helping reduce guesswork and unnecessary oven opening.
The unit displays the current temperature, count up/down time, high and low alarms, and max/min temperatures. It also has a large LCD display with backlight, a calibration function and magnetic pads on the rear so it can attach to a suitable metal surface.
The ChefAlarm is supplied with a penetration probe with a 1.2m stainless steel braided lead, allowing the probe to stay in the food while the display remains easy to read outside the oven or cooking area.
