Wildfarmed

Wildfarmed written across image of a wheat field.
Wildfarmed was started over 15 years ago in response to the clear damage being done to much of our land through poor soil management and the over-use of polluting chemicals such as nitrate fertilisers which can make their way into our rivers and the use of biological controls such as pesticides which have contributed to the dramatic reduction in the biodiversity across the UK. Wildfarmed grows all its crops without the use of herbicides, fungicides or pesticides through a network of like-minded UK and French farmers growing crops using methods that prioritise soil health and biodiversity. Wheat varieties are chosen that will give a good crop with low input (irrigation, fertilisers etc) and will support companion planting so that secondary crops such as clover can be grown at the same time as the tall varieties of wheat, improving and protecting the soil while the wheat grows above it.
