Unfortified Flour - Nothing Added
Unfortified flours are produced without added vitamins or minerals, including folic acid. This category brings together flours from mills that produce unfortified flour as standard, as well as wholemeal, high-extraction and speciality flours where fortification is not required.
What Is Unfortified Flour?
Unfortified flour is flour supplied exactly as it is milled, with no added vitamins or minerals, including folic acid.

FAQs
What does unfortified flour mean?
Unfortified flour is flour in its natural state, milled without added vitamins or minerals, including folic acid.
Does unfortified flour contain folic acid?
Unfortified flour contains no added folic acid as part of the milling process. Naturally occurring folate may still be present in the grain.
Is unfortified flour organic?
Many of our unfortified flours are also organic, but not all. Check individual products for certification details.
Is unfortified flour gluten-free?
No - wheat, rye and spelt flours naturally contain gluten. Some unfortified flours such as buckwheat are naturally gluten-free, but we do not label them as such since they are milled in facilities that handle wheat.
Can I buy unfortified flour in bulk?
Yes - our unfortified flours are available in sizes up to 25kg, ideal for bakeries and regular home bakers.
