Sugar Crumbs, also known as nibbed sugar or hail sugar, are fine white sugar pearls used mainly for decoration in baking. This C10 grade has a smaller particle size than larger pearl sugars, giving a tidier, more delicate finish where you want visible sugar pieces without a chunky appearance.
They work especially well on buns, pastries, biscuits, pies, spiced breads and other sweet bakes where a light crunchy topping helps with both texture and appearance. Because the grains are finer, the effect is more even and decorative than with larger waffle sugar or standard pearl sugar grades.
This C10 grade has a typical size range of 1.4-2.5mm, which makes it particularly useful for smaller sweet bakes and decorative finishes. It is a good choice where you want the sparkle and crunch of nibbed sugar, but in a more refined format.
