Dried Malt Extract (DME) Spraymalt Light 500g

Dried Malt Extract (DME) Spraymalt Light is a spray dried barley malt extract powder made by hot water extraction of malted barley, followed by filtration, vacuum evaporation and spray drying. It is designed to give a sweet, mild malt flavour and is the lightest of the three Spraymalt variants you stock.

Its flavour is sweet with a mild malt character, while the powder is cream coloured and fine in texture. That makes it a practical ingredient to weigh and mix into recipes where liquid malt extract would be less convenient.

Spraymalt Light is useful where you want malt flavour and body without the added colour of the darker extracts, whether in baking, brewing or other recipes that benefit from a gentler malt profile. The 500g pack is a convenient size for regular use without moving up to trade quantities.

Store in a cool, dry place. Once opened, keep the pack tightly sealed and protected from moisture, as dried malt extract readily absorbs moisture from the air and can clump if left exposed.
