Intense Italian Lime Oil is a concentrated natural lime flavouring for baking and confectionery, made with lime essential oil in a sunflower oil base. It gives a fresh, zesty lime note without alcohol, making it a useful option where you want bright citrus flavour without using a spirit-based extract.
Its flavour is well suited to cakes, biscuits, buttercreams, fillings, icings, desserts and confectionery, and works especially well where a clean lime note is wanted without adding much extra liquid to the mix. Because it is concentrated, only a small amount is needed and it is best added gradually to suit the recipe and the strength of flavour you want.
Available in 100ml, 1L and 5L sizes, it works for occasional home baking as well as more regular kitchen and bakery use. Store well closed and away from sources of heat. Shelf life is 24 months.
How to use
Use sparingly. The technical sheet gives an indicative dosage of 1g to 2g depending on use. Start with a small amount and increase gradually according to the recipe and the flavour intensity wanted.
