Wild Italian Mint Flavouring is a concentrated natural mint flavouring for baking and confectionery, made with Italian mint essential oil. It gives a fresh, clean mint note without alcohol, making it a useful option where you want clear mint flavour without using a spirit-based extract.
Its flavour is well suited to cakes, biscuits, buttercreams, fillings, icings, desserts and confectionery, and works especially well where you want a bright mint note without adding much extra liquid to the mix. Because it is concentrated, only a small amount is needed and it is best added gradually to suit the recipe and the strength of flavour you want.
This is an oily flavouring, so it is especially useful where you want a concentrated mint note in a small quantity. Available in 100ml and 1L sizes, it works for occasional home baking as well as more regular kitchen and bakery use. Store well closed and away from sources of heat. Shelf life is 24 months.
How to use
Use sparingly. A good starting point is 2-3g per kg, depending on use. Start with a small amount and increase gradually according to the recipe and the flavour intensity wanted.
