Ingredients
Orange essential oil, lemon essential oil, mandarin essential oil, vanilla extract.

A concentrated natural panettone flavouring for enriched doughs, cakes and festive baking, bringing the distinctive citrus and vanilla notes associated with traditional panettone. Made with orange, lemon and mandarin essential oils with vanilla extract, it gives sweet doughs and baked goods a warm, rounded aromatic lift.

Non-alcoholic and free from preservatives and colourings, it is suitable for vegans and vegetarians. It is also lactose free, gluten free and with allergens absent.

Usage: Use approximately ½-1tsp per 500g of mixture or liquid, adjusting to taste. Because this is a highly concentrated essential-oil blend, a little goes a long way. Store well closed, away from heat and direct light.

Citrus Extracts - FAQs

Yes, often you can. Citrus extracts are a convenient way to add lemon or orange flavour without grating zest each time. They are especially useful where you want a clean citrus note without extra peel, texture or bitterness.
Citrus extracts are concentrated, so start small. A few drops can be enough in icings, creams and lighter batters. Add gradually, taste where appropriate and increase carefully to suit the recipe.
Extract is especially useful when you want consistency and convenience, or when you would rather not add peel or extra moisture to the recipe. It is a practical choice for doughs, batters, icings, fillings and recipes made repeatedly where you want reliable flavour each time.
Lemon extract works well in drizzle cakes, biscuits, buns, icings and enriched doughs. Orange extract is particularly good in chocolate bakes, festive cakes, panettone-style baking and desserts where you want a warmer citrus note.
Usually not. Because they are used in small amounts, citrus extracts are a good way to add flavour without materially changing the balance of a batter, dough or icing.
Choose lemon when you want a sharper, brighter citrus note, especially in cakes, biscuits and icings. Choose orange for a rounder citrus flavour that pairs particularly well with chocolate, festive baking and richer sweet doughs.
